KiNQ.com presents Snorkelland! Unexplored beats from own ground! On the beach of Scheveningen at beachclub De Karavaan there’s going to be 3 journeys this summer. On friday May 15 at 14:00h Tommy, A.KA, OFF & Low-Res will be starting the first journey with some relaxing beats. As we move along, we go deeper and deeper. At some point we’ll be reaching a snorkeling liveset from our meistro Jon Gracius. Here after we’ll go further, further into a world not many have seen. It’s gonna be chilling, blasting, we’re gonna go deep, till the bottom (and beneath), so hold your breath or bring yourself a snorkel and come along to Snorkelland!

At February 2009 Bootleg DJ Cafe Rotterdam celebrates it’s 10th anniversary. This means lots of great parties, with lots of great artists, for an entire month. And of course, we will also be helping with this (-:
On Saturday February 7th the second edition of Club KiNQ will take place. For this edition we invite one of our listeners, Dave Noorlander, who is also a great deejay and promotor himself. Another guest will be deejay Low-Res, who is in the game for ages already and really knows how to get you moving! But the best thing is that we have a very special guest. His identity will still be kept secret, but will be announced soon. The only hint we can give is that he is a real ..Bitch..! (-:

On November 21st we organize a party together with our friends from Desda Deejays at Delft’s newest club Ciccionina. This underground club is definately a must see! And also music-wise it’s going to be cool! It all starts with the great funk vibe of Multi Moodswing, followed by a special house set by Roger Young. After that the main act, Jon Gracius, will do a pounding techno liveset with only own material. Tommy Tunne will continue the vibe and mr A.Ka will end it all with some real powerfull tunes.
So, write it down in your agenda, and see you there! Entrance is only €3.

It was a fun night, last Wednesday. But unfortunately Tommy and Roger (who competed individually) both didn’t manage to win the semi final of the Bootleg DJ Contest 2008…
Tommy was very unlucky by drawing the shortest straw so that he needed to start the evening. This was a major disadvantage by the lack of people and the vibe that still had to be started. But with his freshly new vinyls he definitely managed to get it all going. After him one of our friends from D.E.M.O had to play, Alex Visser. He did a great solid performance, with cool steady and melodic tech house. Roger had to play third. With lots of friends to support him (thanks!) he did a cool but difficult set, with lots of percussions and a constantly uplifting vibe. At last Chally Cha Bana came up with some great instrumental deep techy stuff.
The jury had a hard time to come up with the final result, while all four deejays had performed at their best. Then the final results came:
4th with 92 points..Tommy Tunne..3rd with 102 points..Roger Young..2nd with only one half of a point more, 102.5.. Chally Cha Bana.. and 1st: Alex Visser with 105 points..
Bad luck! But Alex deserved it as a great deejay. After all this appeared to be the toughest semi final of all: if we had to play in one of the other three semi finals we could have been winning. Rogers 102 points were even more than ever before.. So don’t worry, we still got the good vibe going and you’ll definitely hear from us soon!

The 3rd of September, the last of the 4 semi-finals will take place @ the Bootleg DJ Café in Rotterdam. Roger & Tommy will meet each other and 2 other contestants in a battle for a place in the Big Final, Sat 6 Sept. Come and support us both, upcoming wednesday from 21:00 till 01:00. We’ll hope to see ya there! B-)
P.S. Beers only 1 euro with your student-card!!
